Brief:

Come and join us on a summer holiday to the lovely Esperance. This trip will be a mixture of driving and beaching. We will spend time exploring the National parks east of Esperance. with free time to swim, snorkel, hike and fish.
Note: 8 car limit and Members Only
10 Adults
0 Children
6 Cars

We have always wanted to explore the national parks east of Esperance with its squeaky white sand and its turquois water, and we would love you to join us on the journey. We will be camping in powered sites at the Duke of Orleans Bay Caravan park which perfectly sits halfway between the Cape Le Grand National Park and Cape Arid National park.

Although this trip will involve some long drives the aim of this trip is to also have some free time to enjoy the space that we are in. with people being free to opt in our out of the daily activities. The beaches are great to drive on and set up for a day of swimming, snorkeling and fishing. There are also mountains that can be climbed and trails to be hiked.

However, this trip will involve some beach driving in remote areas so it will be a requirement of this trip to have some prior beach driving experience, a bash plate and some extra fuel.

The rough plan (which may vary due to road and weather conditions) is a follows:

Day 1: Drive to explore and stay at Wave Rock
Day 2: Drive to Orleans Bay via Stonehenge and set up camp at The Duke of Orleans Bay Caravan Park.
Day 3: Explore Cape Legrand National Park including Lucky Bay and Hellfire Bay
Day 4: Drive to Esperance via Cape Legrand and the famous beach drive. Choice of activities in Esperance including: taste craft beer at Lucky Bay Brewing Co., see fish leather at Mermaid Leather  or a possible day trip to Woody Island.
Day 5: Explore cape Arid including Dolphin Cove
Day 6: Spend the day at Wharton's beach
Day 7: Leave Orleans Bay and drive to  Lake grace via Lake king  and stay at Lake grace caravan park
Day 8 Drive home

Accommodation:
One night at Wave Rock Caravan Park for a powered site - $43 for two people per night
Five nights at Orleans Bay Caravan Park powered site- $55 for two people per night
