Subaru 4WD club members have been invited to join the Track Care project to repair and rebuild the Shearer’s Quarters and Wash House at Warriedar Homestead. This is in the Karara Rangelands Park, about 400km north of Perth and about 60km west of Paynes Find, which the club has visited several times. There is about 30km of unsealed road from the Gt Northern Highway to Warriedar on the Yalgoo to Ninghan road.

The trip is suitable for swags, tents, camper trailers and small caravans. When Track Care members restored the homestead they installed a drop toilet and hand pump for bore water.

This day trip combines a drive through hills farmland and bush scenery, a walk to Wooroloo Brook waterfalls, a visit to the beautiful Lake Leschenaultia and ending up at the historic Chidlow Tavern & museum for a pub lunch. Before we get going you’ll hear a short history of how the railway influenced Hills life.

A long weekend in the Western Australian Wheatbelt near the town of Kulin at Camp Hart. Hosted by the 4WD Club of WA.

 Gathering the Clans for a weekend of activities, talks and touring around Kulin, come for the company and enjoy the camping at Camp Hart.

Please join me on a 6 day/5 night trip to the Jaurdi Conservation Park (previously Jaurdi Station) and the Helena – Aurora Ranges proposed National Park. These areas are respectively North-East and North of Southern Cross

This trip is in conjunction with Track Care to do a clean-up in the Wandoo National Park, which is between Gt Southern and Brookton highways and about 60km from Perth.

Come for either day or camp overnight. We have received special approval from DBCA to camp in the park overnight.

The wildflowers are in full bloom so bring your camera as we will be driving through many of the tracks in the Wandoo NP and stopping frequently.

The Kaarakin Clean-ups are on again! Come out for a Sunday morning drive to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Sanctuary and help clean up the WA 4WD Association Meeting Room and the area around the building.

It's a good chance to meet people from other Clubs and have a chat. This time it is the Foothills 4WD Club leading the clean-up and providing Morning Tea!

The 2023 Subaru Club of WA Christmas function is being held at Tomato Lake Reserve, President Street area, in Kewdale on Saturday 2nd December 2023. Come and join us for a relaxing reflection on the year and share some ideas for trips in 2024.

Imagine tucking into a yummy breakfast with convivial friends while gazing out at a spectacular, panoramic ocean view, including the historic wreck of the SS Alkimos. Green lawn spreads out in front of you, leading to a children’s playground to one side. Very relaxed oceanside vibe.

The Paddock Crooked Brook A Sunflower Event! 

Join me on a day trip to Dardanup to visit The Paddock – Crooked Brook to see the fields of sunflowers!  Then after lunch, if you wish, travel home via the Ferguson Valley and Gnomesville.

Let’s go back to Northcliffe for some more exploration and good camping. This time we will do it in summer over the Australia Day Holiday long weekend in January.
