The Kaarakin Clean-ups are on again! Come out for a Sunday morning drive to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo
Sanctuary and help clean up around the WA 4WD Association Meeting Room building. We won't clean up inside as that area is under repair after a flood.

Milligan's Island Mosey
What better place to spend a long-weekend than camping for 3 nights on the beautiful Turquoise Coast, only about 2½ - 3 hours north of Perth, and about 2 km north of Green Head.
Yes, I’m talking about the Milligan’s Island Eco Camping Node. It’s essentially coastal bush camping with no power or running water (the Eco bit). There are 36 camp sites, 2 long drop toilets (I will bring a chemical toilet to share), 3 shade shelters, and 2 gas BBQs. The camp sites are large with a compacted surface that defeated Mary’s drill tent pegs last year but there were some handy rocks available.
There are many activities available including beach fun (swimming, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking), the Three Bays Walkway - Dynamite Bay in Green Head, drives through the Pinnacles in Nambung NP, Stockyard Gully Cave, Mt Lesueur NP, Wanagarren 4WD Track, bakery & café visits in Lancelin, Cervantes & Jurien Bay and more.
All sites are booked out. Contact Joy to have your name put on a Wait List in case someone drops out.
Cancellation before 24 hours is allowed. See the Camp Site Information below for booking details.

Gus Luck Track Trip
NOTE: Max 8 cars.
Augustus de Luc (Gus Luck) explored extensively through the Goldfields and surrounding areas during the gold rushes of the 1880s and 1890s. He spent time gold prospecting, sandalwood cutting and transporting goods throughout the area.
When gold was discovered at Goongarrie (then called the 90 mile as that was the distance from Coolgardie) Gus took it on himself to establish a track between Southern Cross and Goongarrie to cart supplies to the new mining area. This became known as the “Gus Luck Track”. Camels and wagons of Gus’s time have been replaced by comfortable, air-conditioned 4X4 vehicles of today.
So, lets pack our comfortable, air-conditioned Subarus and go and explore Gus’s Track through the Great Western Woodlands from Southern Cross to Goongarrie which is on the Goldfields Hwy, 90km north of Kalgoorlie. Along the way we will check out lonely graves, wells and waterholes. We will also explore Goongarrie National Park, Menzies, Lake Ballard and other assorted places.
