World's Largest Tombstone

This Friday ‘get out of town’ strategy allows a full day of exploring Saturday.

Arrive at Oak Park any time from 3.30 p.m. till late. It is about 1h40m from Toodyay Rd/Roe Hwy, Middle Swan. Oak Park is suitable for camping and there is plenty of room for caravans and camper trailers. Easy access for after dark arrivals.

Saturday will be spent tracking down the World's Largest Tombstone and exploring the north-west Wheatbelt – about 180 kilometres of driving. Saturday night is at Dowerin Caravan Park. Book your own choice of accommodation for the night. It's wildflower season so best to book early.

Sunday is more exploring of the Wheatbelt including wildflowers and Australia’s third largest rock. The Sunday route covers 240 kilometres and finishes in Beverley, about 1h 40m from Perth.

New Years @ Milligans Island

What better place to spend a long-weekend than camping for 3 nights on the beautiful Turquoise Coast, only about 2½ - 3 hours north of Perth, and about 2 km north of Green Head.

Yes, I’m talking about the Milligan’s Island Eco Camping Node. It’s essentially coastal bush camping with no power or running water (the Eco bit). There are 36 camp sites, 2 long drop toilets, 3 shade shelters, and 2 gas BBQs. The camp sites are large with a compacted surface. Drill is useful.

There are many activities available including beach fun (swimming, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking), the Three Bays Walkway - Dynamite Bay in Green Head, drives through the Pinnacles in Nambung NP, Stockyard Gully Cave, Mt Lesueur NP, Wanagarren 4WD Track, bakery & café visits in Lancelin, Cervantes & Jurien Bay and more.

Cancellation before 24 hours is allowed. See the Camp Site Information below for booking details.
